"Install app" banner

So, there’s this new feature that people like, called “Install app” where you can install a web thing into your browser. I am not a fan, personally.

However, every time I go onto a website, there is an animated native little ad that is just as distracting as regular animated ads where Brave goes “Install ”. Adblock doesn’t help and I am kind of surprised that even in Brave, a browser that is leaning towards cleaning the web experience, animated ads are still allowed, even for a narrow feature.

There HAS to be a way to kill this. Right? There’s some help online but with AI being everywhere, it just tells me there’s a setting that (you guessed it) isn’t there. Google is actively closing any question regarding this.

Ideally, I’d like to disallow this entire feature, but if not, can I at least get an animation disable?

To be clear, what you’re seeing is not an “ad”, it is a browser feature. It is notifying you that the page you’re viewing can be installed as a PWA for quick access to that site.
