An SSL error may occur, caused by a DNS snag.

My ‘On exit’ tab settings at brave://settings/clearBrowserData

  • ENABLED Browsing history
  • ENABLED Cached images and files
  • ENABLED Cookies and other site data

I use Brave Browser Private Browsing / Private Windows, except when testing some issues, and also, except when adjusting some settings. I do not have trouble reaching/visiting ‘https://research.aimultiple.com/’

I have Secure DNS Enabled. And, Select DNS provider is set to OS default (when available)

And, in the Operating System (“OS”) network location settings > DNS server number settings, I manually enter the DNS servers. I am currently use something like:

  • 77.77.77.7 (VPN primary DNS)
  • 77.77.77.8 (VPN secondary DNS)
  • 192.168.33.22 (Wi-Fi DNS)

In that order. I am able to connect to the Wi-Fi network, get through that network portal, and then to the Internet.

More to consider - in a Brave Browser New Window, one-at-a-time, go to:

  • brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fresearch.aimultiple.com
    and
  • brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Faimultiple.com

For each, if you see a Clear Data button, click on that. Otherwise, click on the Reset Permissions button.

Exit / Quit everything and Restart the computer. Test.

Tips regarding Brave Shields:

I have more success, with:

  • Brave Shields UP
  • Either Allow All Cookies or Block 3rd Party Cookies, but NOT Blocking All Cookies
  • Allowing JavaScripts from specific sources, but NOT Allowing All JavaScripts
  • Trackers & Ads treatment: Aggressive (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting
  • Fingerprinting (aka footprinting) blocking: Strict (at first), and then incrementally relaxing that setting

I almost NEVER use:

  • All of Brave Shields UP
  • All of Brave Shields DOWN
