I cannot install Brave

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Tried to install via command line as instructed. My OS is Debian 11.

  2. It says: error: The “apt-get update” command is not working on your system. The Brave installer cannot proceed. Please try again after fixing your system configuration.

  3. I have checked the system configuration, and cannot find any errors. So I am stuck.

Release Channel Installation

Debian, Ubuntu, Mint

sudo apt install curl

sudo curl -fsSLo /usr/share/keyrings/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser-archive-keyring.gpg

sudo curl -fsSLo /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release.sources https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/brave-browser.sources

sudo apt update

sudo apt install brave-browser
