# I can not watch youtube in resolutions higher than hd (1080p)

**Description of the issue:**  
I go to [youtube.com](http://youtube.com) and start a video. It sets automatic resolution to low 480p. When I manually put it on any resolution higher than 1080p the video gets freezing, trying to load which takes many seconds (like when there is slow connection).

**How can this issue be reproduced?**

1. Go to youtube.
2. Play a video
3. Put the resolution to 4k or higher

**Expected result:**  
The video plays normally and it loads very quickly (I have a decent internet connection 260mgbit)

**Additional Information:**  
The video plays normally and fine on Chrome.

I would try to clear cookies/cache for youtube, then re-login again. If you’re using a VPN, this may impact speeds also. @Huso
