I have been using brave since 2020 but now I can’t understand a single thing at that time it was so simple I could see number of ads and no of bats I received them at end of month it would automatically be transfered but now I can’t even see number of bats on my Android and even number of ads on my ios
BAT can no longer be earned on iOS – we changed this several years ago to comply with Apple iOS guidelines. Please see the official announcement here for more information:
You should be able to see the number of ads viewed (that is, sponsored ads that earn BAT) on Android by tapping the Rewards icon in the address bar, or going to Settings --> Brave Rewards:
Does it not show the value of earned bat like it did previously
@Donkja So long story short, iOS doesn’t earn BAT. Desktop and Android will only earn BAT when you connect to an account such as Uphold, ZebPay, or Solana. Any ads viewed when not connected to those don’t count and will earn you nothing, even if you connect afterward.
Estimated Earnings was removed long ago. There’s no “running tally” for BAT earned. What we have is an Ads Viewed counter, which only counts ads we see that earn BAT. If it’s a house ad about Brave services, it pays 0 BAT and is not counted. If it’s an ad on something else and Brave is being paid to show it to us, then it counts as a viewed ad and will increase the Ads Viewed counter.
The BAT balance it displays is how much BAT you have in the account. So whatever had paid out and you have not withdrawn is displayed as your BAT balance. If haven’t gotten a payout or you withdrew it, then obviously will see 0
If you are connected to and logged into Uphold [On Android or desktop – again Rewards cannot be earned on iOS] it will display how much you have in your wallet but no, it does not show you the amount you’ve earned thus far in the month. This change was made quite a long time ago.
So if I am not connected to account like uphold I can’t receive money if after I connect it
@Donkja any ads you see before connecting to something like Uphold were not eligible for earning, so you would not be paid for those. You only begin earning BAT for ads viewed after connecting.
It also always pays the month after. Such as eligible ads viewed in February are paid in March. If connecting very close to the end of the month, then it might be one extra month out. For example, if you connect on February 27 then chances are your first payout would be in April instead of March because it did not have a lot of time to properly earn much BAT.
