Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.
Description of the issue: I accidentally deleted one of my top sites and I have no idea how to get it back. Please tell me how or fix it if it’s not possible. The URL is too long for me to manually pin, so it doesn’t work. This is extremely inconvenient because I revisit this URL almost daily.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Delete a top site
Expected result: the problem is there’s no way to restore top sites if you accidentally delete them
Brave Version( check About Brave): Brave 1.95.104, Chromium 153.0.8010.53
If you accidentally deleted a site, your only effective options are:
Wait for Re-addition: The site may reappear automatically if you visit it frequently enough to become a “most visited” page again, though this is not guaranteed if it was previously blacklisted.
Reset Browser Settings: You can restore default settings by going to Settings > Additional Settings > Reset settings > Restore settings. This will revert the New Tab Page and Top Sites to their default state, potentially restoring the missing tile, but it will also clear other custom settings.
Reinstall the App: As a last resort, completely uninstalling and reinstalling Brave Browser has been reported to restore default Top Sites, though this is a drastic measure.
Currently, Brave does not support manually pinning or restoring specific Top Sites on Android, a feature that users have requested for years but has not yet been implemented.
