How to activate an extension from browser ikon

I’m totally lost how to invoke an extension from a browser window such as when wanting to do a screenshot using a screenshot extension

Click on the puzzle icon at the top-right corner, and then you will be able to “pin” any of your installed extensions for an easier access to them.
