How do payouts work and how often do they occur?

Hello everyone. I have recently installed brave and am using it on my Linux laptop. Since I use it every day, I’ve accumulated about 1.7 BAT so far. However, i’m confused about how often you actually get payouts. From what I understand, at the end of each month, you receive the payouts for the whole previous month’s ads you watched, and for the week prior to receiving ad earnings, you get a notice saying “xxx Bat will be added to your account in x days,” and any earnings you make during that week are added to the next month’s ad earnings. Is this correct, and can anyone please explain how payouts work more clearly? Thanks!

HI @sangolossyfon, welcome to Brave. Payouts happen on a monthly basis, beginning on the 7th of every month.
