Where abouts is the code that specifies what colour the navigation bar and tab buttons and everything else like that located?

Currently it is inside app/renderer/components/style/global.js. It is being however converted into ./theme.js to make the UI theme customization easier.
about:styles will let you know how the components are styled. best,
