Thanks for the help. I simply deleted the app and reloaded it. Now I’ve noticed that Brave’s lion head is gray. Only when I’m here in the community, like now, is it red? Is that normal?

Die Brave App ist 1.80.1 / das Smartphone ist ein i phone 16 pro max mit iso 18.6.
Eigentlich wollte ich nur wissen ob es normal ist das der Brave kopf grau ist bei geschlossenen taps, und ob meine Einstellungen auf den fotos oke sind.

@ViIIa if you mean this as gray then yes, it is normal to be like this when you are in Brave’s settings menus or your dashboard (new tab page). The gray means it is disabled and not blocking anything.
The above is the same as mine overall. Though for mine I removed the one about storing contact information because I did not see any importance for that based on how it is phrased. I am not entirely sure why it is there.
The above is an “on demand” menu. If you hit the Clear Data Now button then it will delete anything associated. As such I would not have it do things like cookies or saved logins unless you want it to be completely erased from your browser. The saved logins removes all saved passwords entirely. The cookies would log you out of all websites.
The one above is similar to the first quoted, but it has the extra two options. I have both of them set for aggressive/strict rather than standard. The main difference on trackers & ads blocking is standard primarily blocks 3rd party ad but will allow 1st party ads. Aggressive would block them all for the most part.
The HTTPS setting does not matter too much. I have it strict though as it will always make sure I’m aware if I am using a website that is not HTTPS, meaning data is not secure. For standard it will try to upgrade but if it can’t, it just will proceed. If it’s strict, it will upgrade f possible but otherwise give me a warning to ask if I truly want to proceed.
I would enable Fanboy’s Annoyances + uBO Annoyances. It is one of the best content filters and helps block many things that otherwise don’t get blocked. Since you are seeming to be German, perhaps enable Easylist Germany as well since it is specially made to help block ads that appear for German regions.
These are good as well. The only one I have different is that I disabled the one to allow universal links to open in external apps. If you have this option enabled as you do, then clicking a link for something you have an app for will open in that app instead of the browser. For me, this is inconvenient in many situations. I want it opening in my browser so it can block ads. For this reason I make sure the setting is off, so everything opens in Brave and not in other apps. This overall is a personal choice.
With the settings as we said, there shouldn’t really be any. They do seem to be allowing anything about Temu to remain. So the banners which link to their own site content remains because it is more of a feature than it is an ad. Is this what you are talkng about or what ads are you seeing on Temu?
