Been trying to use GLM 5.1 with TEE, and it keeps giving me an API error? Is that an issue on my end or is that something with brave servers because I didn’t think we used api keys except for BYOM. My premium credentials are loaded, Claude and other models are working just fine.

Are you guys planning on rolling out TEE encryption to all models in the future?
Currently it’s only in Nightly for testing, and iirc we’re planning to roll it out to Release sometime soon. The long-term goal is definitely to offer TEE encryption for a lot more traffic and models (moving away from “trust me bro” to “verifiably private”), but there are a lot of moving parts that we have to solve first (we use a 3rd party for TEE models instead of hosting on our infra so scaling is expensive and we can’t control service health, TEE models don’t have feature parity like upgraded searching, performance can be a bit slower for these TEE models, etc). So for now we’re trying to improve the integration and collect as much feedback as we can to figure out the best path to take

sorry to revive the thread, but where is the best place to leave feedback on these nightly / leo features
I’d say the best place for Leo-specific feedback/issues is probably either here or on /r/brave_browser, I check them a couple of times a week for Leo threads and get email notifications so that’s the quickest way for me to spot things. It also feeds back into actual Leo responses as the server-side ‘FAQs’ tool uses the forums as a knowledge source for searching, so it even helps Leo tell users how to fix certain things
Same pattern reported here. Based on what I’ve seen, GLM 5.1 with TEE appears to have an authentication issue on Brave’s backend side — not related to your local credentials or API key setup. The fact that Claude and other models work fine confirms it’s model-specific, not an account issue.
Worth reporting directly to Brave via GitHub if you haven’t already, so the team can track it.
