Have you tried it with Shields down on the site? Yes - Doesn’t seem to affect it any
What version of Windows are you on? Windows 10 Pro 21H2 Build 19044.1766 Fully patched
What version of Brave is it? Version 1.40.109 Chromium: 103.0.5060.66 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Is any antivirus or other security software installed? Norton 360 Deluxe
Do you have any extensions installed/enabled? If so, does it still happen with them all disabled? Bitwarden installed. Have not tried it when disabled but I have Bitwarden enabled on Edge and it doesn’t impact that environment
Does the issue occur in a Private window? Yes. Just tried to log into my Citibank.com account in a private window and it was worse than accessing it in regular mode. Tried it in Edge next and it rendered the page much faster than Brave did.
Does the issue occur if you create a new profile and try it in that profile? (Make sure your original profile does not have any open windows; only the new profile should be open.)
Have not tried this but since it only happens on certain websites I’m questioning how a different profile would be causing an issue.
Are you using ‘Secure DNS’ settings in Brave? What if you turn it off? I am not using Secure DNS
