I’m not trying to be pest, but a simple explanation will do. We had a discussion here Can’t get Brave Nightly to work for a sustained length of time
The conclusion was
There’s a couple things I need some simple clarification for that was never resolved/answered in the Op
- Why/how did I, for some inexplicable reason, get a conventional installation my machine when I was using the Brave portable setup.
- Why are we being offered any options that are not “really ideal to run”, and, since that is the case, why is there no disclaimer to that effect posted on the website.
- Since the Github repo does not auto-update, is there another portable source for one that does.
The bottom line is that if I was informed the portable option was risky from the beginning, I never would have begun this journey in the first place, which would have saved me a lot of grief trying to solve a situation that, apparently doomed from the beginning.
