Description of the issue:
I am trying to use the new brave wallet (brave://wallet), and I see a notification “Existing crypto wallets detected”.
What is it detecting? I have an Uphold account for Brave rewards, is that related?
It asks for a “crypto wallets password”, which I have never set up.
How can this issue be reproduced?
Brave Wallet onboarding → brave://wallet/crypto/onboarding
Brave Version (check About Brave):
Version 1.32.113 Chromium: 96.0.4664.45 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
I am interested in the new wallet feature and would like to use it, but am confused as to what it’s asking for.

In that case it would probably be best to just select the option below get started to start a new wallet.

I just ran into the same issue. I don’t know what this existing wallet is, nor do I know the password to it. I don’t have a wallet linked to Brave.
Does it mean the rewards wallet…? I don’t think that one even has a password.

@Anchorage76 @vark you should be able to follow these steps to get it to work:
Thanks. I’m very curious what it is “detecting” though.
It would be helpful if it gave more information on what it thinks it sees.

The only thing I can think of is an accidental setup in the past.
