# Embed Twitter links are broken

Embedded twitter links are not showing up on sites. There is only blank space and no image or links where the link should be.  
I have tried turning off a lot of protection buttons as well as the simple one for allowing embedded twitter links and not able to get this resolved.

\*\*Brave Version( check `About Brave`): 1.18.78

Just tested this, just ensure you allow twitter in shields `brave://settings/shields`

Embedded twitter loaded fine when shields allowed it

This thread helped me resolve the same problem.

As @fanboynz suggests, go to`brave://settings/shields` and **scroll down** to `Allow Twitter embedded tweets` Toggle the switch “on”.

Also: do you have any script-blocking extensions installed? To see embedded Twitter content, scripts from `...twitter.com` must be allowed. (Ask me how I know…)

Do you by chance use the duck duck go extension? If you do, go into the extensions settings and enable ‘Show embedded Tweets’.
