just updated to version 1.92.134 and now when I download something it defaults to the download file instead of they way it used to were it remembered the last file location that I downloaded to. Say I download a png to file x, it used to when I download another png it used to open up on file x, now it opens to the download file instead. Is their a way to return to the old way in settings or is this a browser change.
Same problem here. Started today after updating to 1.92.134 on Windows. The Save As dialog always opens the default Downloads folder instead of remembering the last used download location. Very annoying when saving multiple files to the same folder.

Chromium: 150.0.7871.63
OS: Windows 10
Setting: “Ask where to save each file before downloading” enabled.
Steps to reproduce:
- Enable “Ask where to save each file before downloading”.
- Visit a site with a download button (e.g. Tensor.art).
- Download an image and choose a custom folder.
- Download another image using the website’s download button.
Expected behavior:
The Save As dialog opens in the last folder used.
Actual behavior:
The Save As dialog always opens in the default Downloads folder.
Additional information:
- Right-click → “Save image as…” correctly remembers the last folder.
- Reproduces in a brand-new Brave profile with no extensions.
- All
brave://flagsare set to Default. - Google Chrome (same Chromium version) correctly remembers the last folder on the same machine.
