Display issues on Linux since last update

Hello,

I am using brave v1.82.166 on Fedora with the Gnome desktop.

Since the last update I am noticing two issues:

  1. When I hover over a URL, the address should typically be displayed at the bottom left of the window. Now it’s in the middle and it’s blocking the view:
  2. Tooltips are unreadable:

Can someone please advise?

Meanwhile on the latest update (CachyOS w/ GNOME), my URL address shows way below the window making it practically hidden when the window is not tiny.

Seems to be somewhat similar to my issue where toolbar pop-up menus are towards the right and get hidden when the window is near maximized.

A current workaround seems to be disabling any form of text size scaling. In GNOME that would be Settings > Accessibility > Seeing > Large Text or GNOME Tweaks > Fonts > Size > Scaling Factor. This fixed was mentioned here: URL displays in lower left of browser window while hovering over a link - #20 by Saoiray

Or if you prefer to not change the size of fonts system-wide, you can disable Wayland UI scaling in brave://flags to disable scaling just for Brave.
