Whenever I try to copy or paste anything in the address bar using keyboard shortcuts, the browser freezes and crashes. When the browser is opened back up again, it is to the new tab page and a message pops up saying “Restore Pages? Brave didn’t shut down correctly.” I’m not sure exactly how long this has been happening for, but the problem has persisted even after I uninstalled and reinstalled the browser from my computer.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch Brave
- Go to any website
- Highlight the URL in the address bar and press CTRL+C to copy
Expected Outcome: URL is copied to clipboard
Actual Outcome: Brave freezes, then crashes

Alternate Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch Brave
- Go to any website and copy any section of text
- Open a new tab and press CTRL+V in the address bar to paste the text
Expected Outcome: Text is pasted into address bar
Actual Outcome: Brave freezes, then crashes
