Pretty much just a community member. I say “pretty much” because I do have some extra little things I can do, but I don’t have full moderator or admin privileges. I also do not work at Brave or anything. What you see in my title of Community Ninja is a badge that they give to people who are active and helpful here. I kind of touch on that over at PSA: Current FAQ - #6 by Saoiray
I also have a part of that FAQ that mentions how to tell who is employed with Brave over at PSA: Current FAQ - #5 by Saoiray. I don’t know if they’ll ever change things up, but essentially they require you to be employed to be an admin. I mean, I do sometimes wish they’d give me the admin/moderator stuff so I can take quicker action against some of these trolls and scammers, but it is what it is.
And yeah, was debating if I should respond. A lot of times can look like I have to get in the “last word” but just is me trying to answer questions. In terms of the rest of what you’re saying, I understand. I think part of the issue is that Brave and Uphold are both American companies. It’s not usual for USA, Canada, etc to have a passport for a different country. And if you’re living here, you’d have some sort of government documentation like a visa in order to do so. Then I guess if it’s long-term living, it’s expected you’d get citizenship with that country. Especially since many allow for dual citizenship.
But EU kind of throws a wrench in that line of thinking. Nowhere else in the world (to my knowledge) does like EU where you aren’t expected to get a new driver’s license when you move and where IDs aren’t replaced/updated.
