Copy/cut from Brave and paste into other apps doesn't work

Description of the issue:
I recently started using Brave in favor of Chrome. Copying text from a site’s content or the URL from the address bar rarely work. The copy/cut seem to be attempting but whenever I paste it in any other application, nothing happens.
I can paste in Brave, but not any other application. I do not have this issue with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Pick any text or URL
  2. Press cmd+c or cmd+x or right-click and hit copy
  3. Paste the contents into the Brave address bar. Notice that it works.
  4. Pick any non-Brave application. Attempt to paste. Notice that it doesn’t work.

Expected result:
The copied results should be able to be pasted in other apps

This was a weird system issue. A second reboot resolved it.
