Three weeks ago, I installed Brave and activated my Brave Rewards. I now want to connect it with my Brave Wallet since I’m unable to open an Uphold account. This message appeared as a result.

Why is an initial payment required to kick-start the whole thing?
Is this not a big hurdle to jump? I had a look and the minimum amount is like 5€, plus no providers will support the transaction in my area, so I am rethinking it again, after years of ignoring the Brave Rewards system altogether.
A token account is required for every token on Solana. Any token you’re holding on Solana would have one these accounts where a small amount of SOL was paid. This is not exclusive to Brave, but an inherent part of the Solana blockchain.
