Description of the issue / expected result:
I reach frequently browsed pages (history of favorites) by typing a few letters in the omnibox. When I used Chrome or Edge, most of the times the first result was the right one. That was very quick : Cmd-L, type three letters, hit Enter.
In Brave if my keyword is the beginning of the url, it works as expected. Here I started typing “git”: and the first result is from my recent history. Default search engine is second, like in Chrome:

With Brave this usually won’t work because the first result is almost always a search with the default search engine.
Here I typed “ana”, which is part of the URL but not the beginning, and the result I expect always comes second regardless of how often I visit it:
I have to use the down arrow to select the result from history, then hit Enter. I know this is a very small thing, but I reach such history/favorites far more often than I do random search requests.
Feature request:
So I wondered if this could be configurable. Judging by the number of topics about some sort of ranking for result categories in the omnibox, I think being able to choose in which order we want results in the omnibox would be useful to many.
Additional Information:
I dug a bit in brave://omnibox/ and saw that the default search engine always gets the “Can Be Default” flag, but it seems a keyword that is not part of the hostname won’t.
