I highly suspect that Brave is being used to hack into my network and this is one of the trace I found
@Ugle the format of the directory you shared is that of a browser extension – however, looking through the Chrome web store, as well as Brave’s built-in extensions and components, there are no extension IDs that match that in either.
This leads me to believe that what you’re seeing is malware of some kind that is installed on your machine. I would highly recommend scanning your system for Malware and see if anything gets flagged.
Worth noting that, again, Brave does not come with this extension/component installed. This is something that was downloaded and/or installed on your system. Did you install Brave via the curl commands listed on our website or did you install from somewhere else?
Additionally, have you installed any extensions in the browser recently/since the time in which you noticed this issue occurring?
Thanks for the informations. Well there’s a lot of suspicious files that are all tied to the built-in Filter List, and the reason I’m mentioning CJX’s Annoyance is because that’s what was in the folder reference above and the moment I deleted it the call stopped
I haven’t used CJX Annoyance List, but lists can’t access mic’s, worst case a list might block a script from accessing a mic if badly blocked or intentally blocked.
How many list do you have enabled? in brave://settings/shields/filters

No, but browsing will be slower/less performance . Enabling everything not recommended. Just enable my My list. Fanboy Annoyances, thats all you need. Unless you need a specific region language.
