I got nightly but recently the ad blocker stopped working, so since I installed it from Google play store I decided to check if it needed an update.
To my surprise if I search for brave it says:
Even though I got it installed it on my phone, which is a Samsung s8 note SM-N950F
So tf do I do?
Hi @Dood68_0, Since you already have Brave installed and it only appeared when checking for updates, this usually means your current Android version no longer meets the minimum requirement for newer releases.
The Play Store listing now requires Android 10 or higher. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Note SM-N950F appears to have officially stopped at Android 9.
Could you please confirm:
• Your current Android version, found under Settings > About phone
• The current Brave version installed on your device
If you are on Android 9, that would explain why the Play Store says it is not supported. In that case, the installed version may continue working for now, but it would no longer receive updates.
Yeah I checked and I’m still at Android 9.
Regarding what version of brave I have: Brave - Nightly 1.82.79, Chromium 138.0.7204.101
