Can't see tokens in "Assets" tab

I swapped a couple of SOL to USDC (on Solana). But I can’t see the USDC on Solana in my portfolio. I can only see the token when I swap into it.

Why aren’t the tokens with positive balances shown in portfolio by default?

Why aren’t the tokens with positive balances shown in the “set visible tokens” list by default at least?

How do I enable this token to show up in my assets without “add custom assets” shenanigans?

Inb4 Chainlist. It is useless.

Please check your Visible Assets list to ensure the token is not still hidden. Thanks!
