Can't import settings from firefox

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. try to import from Firefox

  2. nothing except bookmark.html

Expected result:

dropdown should include Firefox/Chrome/etc

As I understand it, that’s how “sync” from Firefox to Brave works: bookmarks only; nothing else is transferred. (And in my experience and what’s been reported here by others, transferring bookmarks requires subsequent editing.) This is to be expected. Firefox and Brave are structured very differently.

This doesn’t achieve what it seems you’re trying to accomplish — transferring “settings” — but from Firefox to Brave — as I understand it — transferring “settings” isn’t on the menu.

Menu item says “Import Settings and Bookmarks” … clickpath takes one to a dropdown containing only “Bookmarks.HTML” no other browser, e.g., Chrome|ium, Edge, Firefox, which I have encountered using the Windows version of Brave. So confused, wondering if this is a Linux-only issue?

Interesting: when I install Google Chrome, it shows import from Firefox (each of several profiles), of course only offering Bookmarks/Passwords/etc. However, I don’t see Brave as a possible import source?
