Cannot check "Always open links of this type in the associated app" box

I tried to add the following registry entry on Windows 10. And it seemed to have solved the problem for me.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\BraveSoftware\Brave]
“ExternalProtocolDialogShowAlwaysOpenCheckbox”=dword:00000001
