Am I allowed to use a YouTube referral link in a Medium post? My audience is currently on Medium, but I plan on creating YouTube videos very soon to supplement my Medium articles. Is it against any rules to use my YouTube referral link even though my audience isn’t yet finding me through YouTube?

AFAIK, no. You can share or put your referral link everywhere. On Facebook post, tweet, etc.
