I opened Brave, all data missing, like a fresh install. I had updated with the latest version. I then tried launching with the old version the way it was. Same thing.
That’s it. I hadn’t used it in a while. Sessions, history, extensions, settings, etc. all gone.

The one item that you might be able to rescue, is your bookmarks collection . . . but right now, the Bookmarks file’s whereabouts are unknown in your description.
Can you please tell me what the purpose of these instruction are for? This is a portable install. I already know the install folder. I’m aware that the listed profile is in Appdata/local
I launched a Brave setup that was working properly. Now, everything is wiped out.
When first opened, a notification that says Reinstall Brave pops up.The same behavior occurs with all the backups I created.
Is there an explanation? Is this how brave behaves when it isn’t used for a period of time?
I didn’t know If I was reporting a bug, or if somehow this is how Brave is designed to behave. What do I do now? I don’t see any means here to report a bug.
