Please edit your Original Post (β€œOP”) above, in order to include:

  • Brave Browser version numbers
  • Operating System version numbers

To be clear:

The iPadOS traffic light menu is the set of three colored buttons (red, yellow, green) located in the top-left corner of application windows, which allows users to quickly close, minimize, or expand an app without needing to reach for the corner of the screen.

This feature is part of the new contextual menu bar introduced in iPadOS 26, which provides a Mac-style interface for window management. The menu bar appears when swiping down from the top of the screen or moving the cursor there if using a mouse or trackpad, and it displays the traffic light controls alongside other window-specific options like copy, paste, and view settings.

@Mattches

I do not have an iPad (ie no iPadOS).

Re OP issue, and related tabs fail to persist issues - examples:

The new, blended iPadOS/MacOS β€œtraffic light” menu selection (re OP issue, above) apparently bypasses the safety checks/prompts - such as mentioned by @Saoiray at:

β€œeven if you accidentally hit it, there’s a confirmation prompt as well”
