Description of the issue: The built-in translation feature (Brave Translate) is not working on my iOS device. The “Translate Enabled” toggle in the browser settings is completely grayed out (inactive) and cannot be turned on. As a result, the translate icon never appears in the address bar when visiting foreign language websites.
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Brave on iOS. 2. Navigate to Settings → Brave Translate. 3. Observe the “Translate Enabled” toggle. It is grayed out and cannot be interacted with.
Operating System and Brave Version: iOS 26.6 / Brave for iOS v1.92 (144)
Additional Information: I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps, but none of them resolved the issue:
- Forcing the `Brave Translate` flag to “Enabled” via `brave://flags`. - Adding and removing secondary languages in the iOS system settings.
- Switching networks (Cellular vs Wi-Fi) and disabling custom DNS to rule out connection blocks to Lingvanex servers.
- Offloading and reinstalling the app.
Since cross-device sync (bookmarks/history) is a core part of my workflow, switching to Safari isn’t a viable workaround for me. Is there a known fix for this bug in the current build?
