Please add some more information, as I believe you are talking about the XChat website due to how it’s spelt, one word and capitalized in your title (matching the exact title of the IRC client) and it loads just fine for me. In fact, this website appears to have no code to even detect your browser.

Are you actually referring to X/Twitter and are referring to DM’s? Please confirm, thanks.

Update does not solve the problem. Yes.

Also, I have tried many suggestions from GROK in browser settings. No solution.

@DwayneO

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: `brave://settings/clearBrowserData`

- For `Time range` \> `All time`, using the `Basic` tab
- _Enable_ `Cookies and other site data`
- _Enable_ `Cached images and files`
- Click the `Delete data` button

Exit / Quit everything. Restart the computer. Start up Brave Browser.

A) In a Brave Browser New Window, go to the following Brave Browser _site details settings_ windows and click the `Reset permissions` button for:

- `brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2Fx.com`

(NOTE that `brave://settings/content/siteDetails?site=https%3A%2F%2F` is a fixture, followed by either domain name or hostname. In this case, domain: `x.com`.)

B) In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: `brave://settings/content/braveShields` and, in the `Shields Down` section, Add:

- `x.com`

C) In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: `brave://settings/cookies` and, in the `Sites allowed to use third-party cookies` section, Add:

- `x.com`

D) In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: `brave://settings/content/javascript` and scroll down to the `Allowed to use JavaScript` section. There, Add: `[*.]x.com` but DO NOT _Enable_ the `Current Private session only` checkbox.

Exit / Quit the browser. Pause. Start the browser. Test.

**The combination of all those settings, means that you rate [X.com](http://X.com) as a Most Trusted Website.**

IF you still have trouble, then (OR, you might try the following, before trying the preceding settings):

> **Create a new user Profile for Testing:**
>
> Create and use **AN ADDITIONAL** Brave Browser user Profile (`Menu --> More tools --> Add profile`) - **only** ← meaning: Do not have any other Brave Browser user Profile tabs/windows open.
>
> When creating this new Brave Browser user Profile _for test purposes_
>
> - Do not import anything.
> - Do not add any extensions.
> - Do not allow/enable any Brave Browser “bells and whistles” such as Brave Rewards, Brave Talk, etc.
>
> IF this _test_ Brave Browser user Profile does not present your problem, then _possibly_, **the profile that you have been using** , has a problem . . . and that _might_ be caused by one or more extensions, or too many tabs ← complex/conundrum.

</div>

In addition to the above, if you still encounter issues, you might try going through your extensions, as one of them might be spoofing the user agent, making X think your browser is something else (which often isn’t an issue, unless it’s truly spoofing an old user agent).

Likewise, trying a test new Brave profile might be worth a shot as well (gives Brave a semi-clean slate, without removing your current user profile).

Thanx! I’ll have to get some young help for all this. I DON’T need to lose my browser history, etc.

I wish Brave would look into this as GROK has no solutions.

My niece added my X to her phone and can check/send messages for me.

@DwayneO there is nothing for Brave to really look into here just yet. Additionally Grok is not particularly adept at solving issues like this.

I suspect the issue is, as @MasterLink link states above, either related to:

- **Bad cache data** – to resolve this, visit [twitter.com](http://twitter.com), click the “tune” icon to the left of the URL in the address bar, then `Site settings --> Delete data`. Refresh Twitter (you’ll need to log back in) and test again to see if the issue persists.

- **Conflict with an extension** – there are several ways check to see if this is the issue but the fastest way IMO would be to create an additional browser profile (`Menu --> More tools --> Add profile`), close your original profile window (so only the one new profile window is open) then visit and login to Twitter there and see if you get the same issue.

Here is what you would need to do:

Steps from the video above for clarity:

1. In your main profile, go to `Menu --> More tools --> Add profile`
2. Once you create the new profile, close your original profile window so that only the new profile window is open.
3. In the new profile window, go to [twitter.com](http://twitter.com) and login
4. Try to reproduce the issue

@DwayneO you do not need to create a new X account – I was just suggesting you use the new _browser_ profile to login to your _existing_ X account to see if the issue still occurs in the new browser profile.
