brave browser States I’m logged into Safari
Description of the issue: when checking my login settings for my Brave browser it states that I am logged in on Safari and I did take a screenshot showing that. I do not use Safari on my iPhone. I have Brave set as the default browser and Google set as my search engine.
How can this issue be reproduced?

@KerriBerri On iPhone, all browsers are built on Apple’s Safari engine. Even if you use Brave, Chrome, or Firefox, they are required by iOS to use the same underlying WebKit engine that Safari uses.
Because of that, many websites cannot reliably tell which browser app you used. They only see something that looks like “Safari on iOS,” so they log it as Safari in the security history.
So in practice:
This is normal and expected behavior on iPhones. It does not mean someone else logged in, and it does not mean Safari was actually used.
This is expected and normal. On iPhone, Brave still identifies itself as Safari under the hood because Apple requires all browsers to use Safari’s engine, so websites often log the login as Safari even when another browser app was used.
