Not sure how the devs can mark this as resolved when it clearly isn’t. I’ve just installed Version 1.2.41 and the problem is still there. Screen flickers, then within about a minute browsing just this community site, the browser crashed.
No addons installed, and as I’m not the only one still seeing this, it clearly ISN’T fixed.
Same here. Screen is flickering and browser crashes seconds later. No plugins installed and hardware acceleration switched off. Brave isn’t usable for me anymore…

Switching the Nvidia Display Driver to Intel Power Saving Mode solves the problem for me.
No crashes anymore.
After switching from version 390 to 435 of the Nvidia-Closed-Source-Driver and activation of performance-mode, Brave 1.2.43 crashed as before with 390.
The Open-Source Nouveau-Driver works like a charme with Brave 1.2.43.
Graphics Card on my Linux-Machine is NVIDIA GeForce GT 730.
Brave-Browser 1.01 was the latest version worked together with closed-source Nvidia 390 on my machine.
Not running in a VM. Desktop PC with Linux Mint 19.3 and still happens within ~1 min of browsing any webpage. Crashed again while scrolling down the updates here.

I can confirm JimmyOlsen’s crash. I updated to Brave version 80.1.3.113 today, and Brave crashes within 2 seconds every time. I should add that Brave has been crashing like this for some time, but this is my first bug report. Command line errors copied below:

Nightlies are crashing out of control for me. Can’t keep the browser running for last several days of nightlies for more than a few minutes. No extensions are installed. Not using brave rewards or ads.
Looks like crash logs won’t upload either.
How do we find the crash reports to share here manually?
