Brave Wallet appears to have a token detection/display issue for cbBTC on Solana. I am using the same Solana address across wallets, and cbBTC is correctly visible on-chain in Solscan, but Brave Wallet does not display the asset or balance for that exact address. Since the token is present on-chain and visible through other sources, this does not appear to be a custody or account issue. It appears to be a Brave Wallet indexing, metadata, or SPL token rendering problem specific to how the wallet is surfacing assets on Solana.
Please confirm whether Brave Wallet currently supports automatic detection and display of cbBTC on Solana, whether there is a supported method to manually add or surface the token in the wallet UI, and whether this behavior is a known bug.
Thanks @Evan123. I think there may be a misunderstanding here. The Etherscan link you provided is for the ERC-20 version of cbBTC on Ethereum. My issue is specifically with cbBTC on Solana.
Coinbase lists the official Solana cbBTC mint as:
cbbtcf3aa214zXHbiAZQwf4122FBYbraNdFqgw4iMij
The cbBTC balance associated with my Solana address is visible on-chain in Solscan and is also detected by other Solana wallets. Brave Wallet, however, does not display it.
I have also checked the asset/visibility filters. My question is therefore specifically:
Does Brave Wallet currently support automatic detection of cbBTC on Solana?
If it does not appear automatically, should I be able to add the Solana SPL token manually using the mint address above?
If Brave does support cbBTC on Solana but is failing to detect or display the balance, is this a known Brave Wallet bug?
I want to make sure we’re troubleshooting the Solana implementation rather than the Ethereum ERC-20 version.
