Brave VPN - "Connected" notification appears multiple times on Windows

Hi

I noticed something weird with Brave VPN on my Windows laptop. Every time I turn on the VPN, the “Brave VPN - Connected” notification just keeps popping up over and over, like 5 times in a row. It only happens when I connect the VPN, but the VPN itself seems to work fine. It’s just these repeated notifications that are kind of annoying.

I’m on the latest version, my internet is working fine, and I tried restarting and updating but no luck.

Is anyone else getting this? Is there a way to fix it or should I just ignore it?

Hello! If you visit account.brave.com and Refresh VPN, do you still see this issue?

Can you share a screenshot or short recording of the behavior you’re seeing? I’ve not seen this reported before.

Hey,
I checked account.brave.com but I didn’t see any option to refresh the VPN. Maybe it’s only for certain accounts? Or maybe I missed it?
Let me know if you have any more ideas.

No your credentials are active and loaded so you won’t see the button there. Would be great to see what this looks like on your end.

Here are screenshots of the notifications I get.
Every time I turn Brave VPN on or off, I get these notifications. The problem is that they appear multiple times in a row, not just once.
It happens every time I connect or disconnect the VPN.

Yeah so it’ll like pop up then disappear then pop up again then disappear, etc?

Also, to confirm you’re turning the VPN on from the browser icon or in the Windows system tray?

Yeah, exactly! The notification pops up, disappears, then pops up again several times in a row whenever I turn the VPN on or off.

And to answer your question, I’m turning the VPN on and off from the browser icon inside Brave, not from the Windows system tray.
