Briefly describe your issue:
What Operating System and Brave version are you using? Brave 1.83.120 (Build oficial) (64 bits)
OS Ubuntu 24.04.3 on a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Wifi BCM4312
Region: Portugal
Every time I have tried to update Brave, my wifi connection dissapear.
I need a definite solution or simply I will have to change Browser
When updating Brave, are you sure there aren’t other updates going on as well since usually if installed through the official command, Ubuntu (and Brave both) update with the rest of the system when it runs apt?
Brave shouldn’t be touching any wireless adapters unless apt has other packages that are to be updated as well which do include such things.
Well, bad news is I don’t think it’s the browser, it’s what your system is updating in addition to Brave. (And even if you are specifying Brave only, this could include dependencies that Ubuntu might be using as well, hence something like this happens.)
So, gonna have to ask, how are you updating Brave within Ubuntu? Because if through apt or the GUI (Software Updater uses apt), it’s likely bulling in more than just Brave along with a dependency that’s getting updated as well.
Lastly, this wasn’t even filled out in the correct location, so chances of getting proper help are going to be slim:

This has nothing to do with Rewards, why’d you tag it?
