Description of the issue: Brave is stuck in dark mode even though my computer’s settings and Brave’s settings are set to light mode. I have tried toggling between light and dark mode but nothing changes. I have restarted my computer and close out of and reopened Brave to try solving the issue.
Expected result: Use Brave in Light Mode.
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.87.192

I’m not currently able to reproduce this on Windows 11 25H2, with the same Brave version.
By chance do you have extensions installed? The only bug I did encounter by testing this was apparently the moment I click “Theme”, my sidebar turned on, however it went between dark and light modes.
I’m wondering if an extension that’s installed is preventing the browser from being in control of its own themes. If it’s not an extension, you might try a new test Brave profile as that would sidestep not just extensions, but perhaps a corrupt configuration file. (Which helps them pinpoint where the issue might actually exist so they can help remedy the problem.)
