Brave stopped blocking youtube ads

Description of the issue:
I’m a mac brave user, been using it for a few years now. Randomly yesterday it stopped blocking ads on youtube. I updated my browser to see if the issue can be solved, but it didn’t. And yes my brave shields are on.
Although when I refresh the site once when the ad comes, then the ad goes away.

Did the issue present with default Shields settings? (yes/no) YES

Does the ad appear when using a Private window as well? (yes/no) NO
What OS are you using when you see the ad? MacOS Sequoia 15.5

Brave version (check About Brave): v1.80.115

Brave’s Youtube Elements blocking filter is broken. I can see Comments and video description desipte having all 3 youtube distracting filters enabled.

Try switching adblocking to aggressive mode.

Exactly, when I use private mode, there are no ads, but when I’m on the normal window, ads keep on coming. Sometimes the video doesn’t even load and I have to refresh the video to make it start working, and yeah I’m on a fast connection with speed around 300mbps.

v1.80.124, with aggressive ad blocking, shields, still getting ads, even with 3rd party ad block addons

You can watch YouTube normally using Firefox with UBlock Origin.

I should point out that the adblock issue is also happening using Edge or Chrome, even with UBlock Lite.

I can confirm, using ver. 1.80.124 on Debian Linux.

Downgraded to 1.80.122 in which it used to work for me, but now it doesn’t either.

EDIT: As of yesterday (3d later) youtube ad blocking works again for me.

As of now I use Adguard DNS over HTTPS along with agressive adblocking and fingerprinting settings as well as multiple content filtering list in Incognito.

Never got any ads on YT till date.

I’m not a Mac user but a full reinstall of Brava helps. And don’t poke around Brave. Brave should work correctly out of the box and not use any AD blockers.
