Brave Search Premium - Naive Question

Hello,
I have a naive question about the Brave Search Premium, which I do suscribe to.
When I open the Brave Browser, I login (here: https://account.brave.com/account/) and after confirming it in my email then Brave shows a blue shield with a star in it at the top right of the new tab screen which say “you’re a brave supporter” when you hover over it.

Does this mean that only when I am logged in that the benefits of a paid Brave search account come into use, and conversely, if I do not login then I am not getting the benefit of the paid account?

It seems like this must be the case but I cannot seem to find anything explicit about this in the documentation.

Correct. To be honest, right now there’s no benefit to Brave Search Premium. They have it set where Brave Search Premium is only available from Brave Browser. And we already get no ads from the browser if we have Shields enabled.

So Brave Search Premium is announced to be a way to get ad free results, but we already have ads blocked. If it was available on other browsers or something, it would make sense. But as it is now, it’s just there for us to throw money to Brave to show our support.

Ah, I see. And that’s ok, my main motivation for the subscription is for general support of the browser. Thank you for the reply.
