Brave runs a task that flashes a window extremely briefly

Description of the issue: Brave, seemingly randomly, does something that causes a window to flash on my middle monitor for a fraction of a second. Just long enough to notice but so brief that it’s impossible to tell what it is.

Edit: If I run taskkill /im brave.exe /F to kill ALL brave instances and leave it closed, this does not occur, so I can’t see it not being something in Brave.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): Brave windows/tabs open.

Expected result:

Reproduces how often: Seemingly random

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu): Windows 10 Brave 1.87.190

Additional Information: I suspect this may be something that a tab is doing. Is there a way within Brave to try and catch whatever this is and determine what tab or perhaps Brave process is doing this?

Do you by chance have extensions installed? The only time I may see a brief flash is if Brave was updating, but it wouldn’t be consistent like it seems for you, and that I can’t replicate.

The only extension I have installed is the Bitwarden extension.

@Dave, I can appreciate the confusion. The state of New York recently passed a law specifically requiring AI platforms to display certain notifications to users located in New York.

Here is a link to the bill that specifically requires this: https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/laws/GBS/A47

“Dave’s not here man.”

Well, Dave is sort of here (I’m a Dave lol).

So there are no ways to monitor what Brave is doing and slow that monitoring down so one can see what brief things are running?
