I opened my PC for the first time today and all my saved passwords were gone and i was logged out of all my accounts, however, bookmarks, extensions and other settings were still there. The Login Data file (inside “C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\Login Data”) still has websites which i had my passwords saved on. How can I add my passwords back?
And also, if it helps, it shows this browser as another session in google account settings. The other session was with the same browser, last used yesterday.
Hard lesson that reminds us to back up our user data. My consolidated notes re data loss that include info re maintaining data backups:

This unfortunately means cryptology broke on Windows or between the underlying Chromium engine and Window’s VaultSvc (Credential Manager). The other situation I’m seeing that likewise causes this, where they are gone, yet remain in Login Data, is when Local State gets corrupt.
Sadly, because cryptology keys are involved, neither are recoverable.
It should be noted this is truly a Chromium issue which has been plaguing Chromium based browsers for at least just over a year now, as Edge, Chrome, and Opera users are sharing the same issue on their own communities.
