When will playlist for android be available? I can not wait more! it’s not even live on android, is only available on !OS…

@Techieman We will know more on Tuesday. The Product Manager for Mobile is supposed to be on this Tuesday’s Community Call that happens around 5pm Eastern Time. He’ll be sharing more about Playlist and a lot of other things that will be going on with Android and iOS.

So call just ended. Usually we get those placed up on YouTube for any who missed. Typically gets uploaded within 24 hours but not sure how long it will take. All recorded calls can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/@BasedBraveUser/videos

even though it is available now in brave desktop still its not working properly
It’s not available yet. Yes, they have flags for it and they have some barebones things. However, it’s not fully implemented. It’s also only like that on Nightly, not on Release or anything.
Do you know when Brave Playlist will be moved to beta and stable? It’s been a few months already and still no sign of Playlist on any other release besides nightly. Thanks.

I use this issues filter to look at updates.
It has now been years that iOS has had this feature. Over a year that it’s been on Brave nightly for Android. Not yet available for Stable Brave on Android but yet Brave on Twitter (X) continually recommends using it when it’s not available. I will call them out on this but get nothing but the silent treatment. I have not at all been happy with how they have been handling this feature roll out. You make an announcement about it 3 years ago giving it all kinds of hype and getting us all excited for it to only be on iOS… After those 3 years still not available on Android or the desktop. This is why I now pretty much ignore any feature news from Brave because there’s a big change that the feature isn’t available to me or won’t be for quite a very long time.

Agree. And not only this, but shouldn’t they be developing for Android first anyway? For many years Android vs iOS marketshare has held steady at about a 70/30 split in favor of Android.

It’s been over 3 years, do you or @Mattches have any insight as to when this might be added on Android? YouTube frontends have been increasingly unreliable, especially for VPN users. Using the YouTube app is more privacy-invasive and has unavoidable ads. Having Brave Playlist on Android would be an awesome solution if it were added.
@stopped-decipher I can see on the roadmap that this feature has been assigned developers and is being worked on presently.
