Brave periodically hanging on all websites, requires reopening brave

@sdub First thing, before I get into your issue, please do check out Tips for posting as it would help if you can do that in the future.

That said, I’m going to have to ask:

  • Which version of Brave are you using?

  • Which Operating System? (For example, Windows 11, Android 12, or what?)

  • Have you tried using in Private Window?

  • If on desktop, have you tried creating a new browser profile?

  • Have you toggled Use hardware acceleration when available in brave://settings/system? Usually turning off is what helps people, but put it in opposite setting to what you were using when you had issues.

  • Is it crashing? If so, you should be able to go to brave://crashes where you can make sure it’s uploaded and then share the Uploaded Crash Report ID.

  • Does this happen on all sites or only particular sites? Notice if any type of content matters? Like if it’s a video site vs text heavy?
