Brave location is way off

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to google.com and search for anything
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and Click use precise location
  3. Accept the Wants to access your location prompt.
  4. The location is still inaccurately where my Identity Provider resides.

Expected result:

  1. The location should change to my current location.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.7.98 Chromium: 81.0.4044.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)

OS Version

System Version: macOS 10.15.4 (19E287)
Kernel Version: Darwin 19.4.0

Additional Information:

If I do the same inside Safari the flow differs: OS X asks me to provide permissions to Safari to use the location (This Prompt is not showing for brave). And after I approve, the location is correct.

Brave is not using the Location Services from OS X as it seems, as it is missing from the list in the provacy settings.

Is there any further Information required, does somebody has an Idea what is wrong?
