# Brave is not disabling or marking extensions that have been removed from the Chrome Web Store as malware

I was using this Chrome Extension on Brave: Copy Links. Its [Chrome Web Store page was here](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kcpoommnneaebpfgaoejklgemonkmjpc) (currently leads to a 404 not found error page). I’ve just recently launched Chrome which also has this extension installed. It gave me a notification that this extension has been disabled and that it contains malware.

There is no similar warning in Brave. I even tried updating my Brave extensions. This seems like a bug.

**How can this issue be reproduced?**  
(Not easy to reproduce due to the nature of the issue.)

1. Install an extension from the Chrome Web Store
2. Have the extension marked as malware by Google (and removed from the Chrome Web Store)
3. Notice that Brave won’t disable or mark the extension as malware

**Expected result** : Brave should auto-disable the extension or at the least, mark it as malware.

**Brave Version( check `About Brave`):** 1.4.96 Chromium: 80.0.3987.132 on Windows 7
