Brave is no longer portable

Does not support saving passwords.
Does not support saving add-on data.

Synchronize Brave host folder files on two different computers via flash drive.

A complete data transfer from one computer to another is expected. Instead, on the computer that was synchronized with the external drive, the data simply disappears. The password list is empty. The add-on data disappears.

OS - Windows 10
Brave 1.80.115

On Brave version 1.47… this was not observed.

Please provide more details - steps taken, what application / process (if any) are you using for “Synchronize”?

What do you consider to be the “Brave host folder”?

Location of Brave Browser Installation:

With Brave Browser running, in a New Window, go to brave://version and scroll down to:

  • Executable Path
  • Profile Path

On computers (desktop type) Windows 10 OS
Computer #1 - q:\Brave
Computer #2 - q:\Brave
External storage - s:\brave
Synchronization application - nnbackup
Synchronization line in the console:
start /b /wait /d%~d0\nnBackup nnbackup -ci sync -i %~dp0 -o !nmWork!%~p0 -s -e -tc -t2 -delete-before -v

There were no problems in version 1.47

When trying to run the portable version of Brave from an external drive:
e:\Brave180\brave-portable.exe
we get a crash:

Trying to help Windows and Brave to correctly locate data; and, what to do re crash reports.

So, I have to dance with a tambourine and attach crutches to a product that declares itself portable, so that it actually becomes portable?
Forget it…
It’s easier for me to switch to a browser from Mozilla, there are no such problems there.
