Brave having trouble updating itself

Trying to update Brave [Version 1.10.97 Chromium: 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)] to the latest build

Go to brave://settings/help and it will try to upgrade itself - the upgrade.exe is in exclusions in my antivirus

  1. I go to brave://settings/help

  2. It gives me this error while trying to update to the latest version:

" An error occurred while checking for updates: Update check failed to start (error code 4: 0x80070005 – system level).: "

Expected result: Update itself

May be due to a VPN connection or an extension you have installed at this time, or potentially anti-virus software.

Are you still unable to initiate the automatic update (going to Menu --> About Brave)?

Wasn’t a VPN neither an anti-virus I think, because it was in my exclusions. Might have been the internet speed. My fix: Download the latest browser and install it. Then go to brave://settings/help and it upgraded itself. Hope it helps. Thanks for looking into it.
