Description of the issue: Brave for MacOS does not remember the last used screen mode. How can this issue be reproduced?
Launch Brave from dock
Set Brave to full screen mode using green button
Quit Brave using <command + Q>
Re-launch Brave from dock
Expected result:
Brave launches in full screen mode
Brave Version( check About Brave): v1.90.128

Brave behaves differently between the 2 user accounts on my Mac:
My account (admin) - Brave launches in full screen mode if I last used it in that mode.
My wife’s account (standard) - Brave launches in windowed mode even when last used in full screen mode.
In both accounts the “Close windows when quitting an application” setting is disabled.
I have tried promoting my wife’s account to admin with no effect.
I created an Apple ID for my wife’s account (she didn’t have an ID) in case MacOS was saving some Brave settings to the cloud - no effect.
I can force Brave to open full screen by using a script in my wife’s account, but this seems like a kludge - I would rather the app behaved the same in both accounts.
The Brave version is the same for both accounts - I installed Brave from the admin account then later created my wife’s standard account. Brave was already available in her account without having to install again, so I am not surprised that both accounts have the same version.
It should be noted that I am not using any of the Brave sync capabilities for either account and neither has an associated Brave account.
Just as a test, I installed the Helium browser (my daily driver in Windows) and it also failed to remember full screen/windowed setting between quit and re-launch.
Safari seems to be well behaved in this respect, but I will give Firefox a try and report back.
Can you check and see if it makes any difference how you enable full screen? For example, try using the green fullscreen/maximize button on the macOS, then closing and reopening. Then try using the browser’s fullscreen button in the main menu.
