Brave for iOS media player freeze

Since the new version of Brave for iOS was released some embedded media players freeze the browser for up to 5 seconds (no scrolling or interacting with Brave)

Reproduction

  1. Load example https://www.3aw.com.au/university-students-frustrated-by-harsh-restrictions-still-being-imposed-on-campus/
  2. Click play on one of the embedded media players down the page

Expected
Audio should start buffering and playing without any interface lag.

Turning off Brave shields do not change outcome.

I took a look at your particular issue, can you send me a screenshot of your shield settings?
Testing myself, you can try keeping on shields but turn off block scripts toggle. That might allow you to listen to the audio.
Let me know if that works.

I can reproduce it, we are looking into it,
added ticket for it https://github.com/brave/brave-ios/issues/3665
